The Button discreetly provides personal hygiene items to support the overall health, dignity, and confidence of all students in Bulloch County. We believe no student should miss school due to lack of basic necessities.

From One School to Many

What started in March 2022 at William James Middle School has grown into a movement. William James, a Georgia Title I school, has incorporated The Button into its School Improvement Plan, and educators from approximately 40 Georgia counties have expressed interest in bringing the model to their communities.

March 2022

First program launched

December 2022

1,000th request fulfilled

June 2023

Expanded to additional schools; Christmas Holiday and Summer Hygiene Bag Programs established

January 2024

Fifth school added; partnership with school Social Workers strengthened

2025–2026

Expanded into elementary schools; enhanced data analysis and strategic planning
